Origins

The MI-6 started as a crazy idea on SFF and [H] forums to create a computer case that maximized the potential for gaming and computing in the small mini-ITX computer form factor. The idea arose from the excellent Dan A4 case, but with different goals.
This case would take advantage of the new mini-ITX-sized high-end GPUs to minimize the desktop footprint, hold several 2.5" drives and have room for a good heat sink to cool a powerful CPU. In other words, no compromise gaming or computing, -and have room for a case fan to keep any additional hardware cool (HDDs I'm looking at you).
After several concepts, design iterations, a first prototype and great feedback from the forum community, the final result is a sub-7-liter tower case constructed of 2mm aluminum with an exterior of 1.5mm beautiful aluminum. It fits all the newest SFF performance components: a mini-ITX sized motherboard and mini-ITX GPU, an SFX-size power supply and 2.5" HDDs or SSDs.
I named my shop Case-by-Case Design as a bit of a play on words. CCD manufactures the MI-6 computer case. I hope you like the design as much as I do, - and feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
